month: December 2008

So, Phil and I are up cleaning our house after being lazy for the past few days!!! No partying for us! We’re going to have some family over tomorrow for New Year’s tomorrow, so we thought we’d make it decent around here. Anyway, we wanted to wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We’re looking forward to 2009 so much since we’ve had so many new ideas we’ve been looking to implement in our business and personal lives! Whatever your New Year’s resolution may be, we pray the Lord give you the strength and perseverance to see it fulfilled!!

Oh, I just thought I’d show you the best Christmas present I’ve ever received!!! Check out this beautiful trunk Phil had made for me by a precious, amazingly talented man in our church:

And, this is the gift I made for Phil, a huge barn wood, patchwork piece of art. It’s big, that’s for sure!!

It was a creative Christmas this year! We hope you had a great one, too!!

Phil and I just want to wish everyone a very blessed Christmas. We pray that you would sense His very real presence as you spend time with your friends and family. What a good God we have and how faithful He is!!! We are so thankful for all of you, too, and we are so blessed to have gotten to know so many new friends through this photo business. Thank you for letting us share in some of the most important times in your lives. It means so much to us!

Thanks for continuing to remember Phil in your thoughts and prayers in this tough time. We’re looking forward to a good time together with his family today for Christmas, but especially covet your prayers tomorrow during the wake and funeral on Saturday. Thank you for all your support. We’re looking forward to a few good days off to spend time with our families, so we’ll post again soon!

Hey guys…
Keep Phil and his family in your prayers as last night, we found out that his grandpa passed away. We were definitely expecting it, but no matter how prepared you think you are, you’re just not. Thanks for being patient during this difficult time.

Hey guys!

Phil and I made some super fun Christmas cards this year since we didn’t do any last year. I guess we’ll have to keep trying to outdo ourselves every year now! Check it out! Merry early Christmas guys! God bless you as you prepare for a special time with your friends and family.

So, today is Phil’s mom’s birthday and tomorrow is my dad’s birthday!! I won’t share Phil’s mom’s age, but I think it’s pretty cool that my dad turns 60 tomorrow! I can’t believe it! I just want to say congrats to them and that we are so blessed by our parents. :) Happy Birthday guys! I wish I could celebrate with them, but I am actually in a Christmas play the next few nights. There’s this really cool historical mansion called the Carus Mansion located here in La Salle and myself and other cast members get to portray different members of the famous Hegeler/Carus family and their very influential friends as guests to a Christmas party in the mansion! Here’s a couple of pictures from last night’s performance:

It’s so fun doing stuff like this! Anyway, I’m just thankful that part of being a photographer is that you can be your own boss and create the time to participate in the things you enjoy!

Oh! Phil and I just registered for the Jennifer’s Garden Bridal Expo, which takes place on Sunday, January 11, 2009. We hope to see you there!!

Later!

Hey everybody! We finally have a blog, (now that it’s the end of the year!) ;-) This is really cool and we’re excited to be able to keep you guys up to date with us, our business and show you lots of fun pictures! So, I’ll keep this one short, but just we just wanted to say hi! Bye!!
